ouR MISSION
To be a voice of compassion for individuals with invisible disabilities by providing resources to meet their unique needs.
Joshua’s Voice, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit formed to bring awareness and support to struggles associated with invisible disabilities.
Joshua Richey 1998-2020
Joshua Richey is the namesake of Joshua’s Voice. Joshua experienced a time of crisis in which he couldn’t find his voice to seek help. In his honor, we strive to be the voice of compassion for those who are unable to communicate their struggles.
We love and miss you Josh.
Speaking Out
By their definition, invisible disabilities can be difficult to recognize but crucial to understand during times of crisis. Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, and Personality Disorders are just a few invisible disabilities that, although invisible, can provide visible cues to help others assist them when help is needed most.
We’re here to help. To request a speaker for your group or organization, contact us.
Providing Tools
Sensory kits are one of the primary tools currently provided by Joshua’s Voice. Sensory kits contain the following to assist individuals experiencing sensory overload and nonverbal people during times of crisis:
Noise-cancelling headphones
Sunglasses
Sensory tools
Dry erase board and marker
Fidget spinners
Picture EMS Board
Picture Communication Board
Sanitizing wipes
Drawstring backpack
If your organization could benefit from sensory kits, contact us for more information.
